NASA

NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is the agency of the United States government that is responsible for the nation's civilian space program and for aeronautics and aerospace research. President Dwight D. Eisenhower established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 1958 with a distinctly civilian (rather than military) orientation encouraging peaceful applications in space science.

SCS

AEgis Technologies is a privately held small business headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, USA, that provides advanced technology and expert consulting services to industries throughout the world. AEgis specializes in modeling & simulation (M&S) and micro/nanoscale technology development. The company's M&S products and services include simulation software and training simulators; geospatial databases; 3D models; war fighter exercise support; systems engineering and analysis; verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A); test and evaluation support; Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Man-in-the-Loop (MIL) simulation. Advanced Technologies excels in advancing cutting edge micro and nanoscale technologies from concept to deployment with applications ranging from defense to energy to biotechnology.

FORWARDSIM

BETTER DECISIONS THROUGH SIMULATION

ForwardSim specializes in decision-making process improvement through analytical modeling and simulation. They provide flexible solutions and a rational approach for risk mitigation. ForwardSim excels in process modeling, distributed simulations and crowd management.

VSEE

TELEMEDICINE PLATFORM

VSee is a proprietary low-bandwidth, group video chat and screen-sharing software tool. It came out of a Stanford University PhD project addressing the problem of making virtual teamwork easy and conveying trust over video. The service allows multiple users in various locations to communicate in real-time by video and audio. Its interface is able to concurrently display video faces and allow users annotate on shared screen content. VSee sends video at rates as low as 50 kbit/s and is capable of real-time video communication over 3G cellular networks. VSee is based in Sunnyvale, California with remote staff located worldwide.

VT Mäk

A COMPANY OF VT SYSTEMS

VT MÄK, also known as MÄK Technologies, develops software for distributed simulation. Leveraging a strong foundation of COTS software products, MÄK works with customers to build and populate compelling 3D simulated environments. Their primary users are in the aerospace, defense, and transportation industries, yet their products and services can help customers anywhere modeling and simulation is needed to train, plan, analyze, experiment, prototype, and demonstrate. MÄK software has been used to develop solutions in the areas of Air Traffic Management, Command and Control, Homeland Security, and Space. Thousands of customers worldwide use MÄK products, including the world’s ten largest defense contractors.

Pitch

MAKE YOUR SYSTEMS WORK TOGETHER

Pitch is playing an active role in the M&S Community. Pitch is heavily involved in the development of interoperability standards like the High Level Architecture, and are currently part of the core technical and management team tasked to develop the next generation of the HLA standard, called HLA Evolved. Pitch is also a sponsor and active member of the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO).

As a result of their R&D activities they have presented several papers and tutorials at Simulation Interoperability Workshops (SIW), ITEC and I/ITSEC. Pitch has been awarded a dozen SIWzies, half of them selected “best paper” within their respective category.

Michaelis Foundation for Global Education

INSPIRING, ENGAGING, AND
EMPOWERING STUDENTS GLOBALLY

Global and local challenges surround us. To address these challenges and move forward, we need people who know problem-solving strategies, think critically and creatively, communicate and collaborate with others, and persevere when something does not work the first time.

The Michaelis Foundation for Global Education, MFGE empowers students with these skills – relevant to any career or role they take on – and prepares teachers to engage their students in hands-on learning. Whether designing and producing prosthetics or deploying innovative water filtration devices in developing countries,

We are certain that students and the teachers supported by our projects are empowered to make a difference in their classrooms, in their communities, and around the world.

MFGE current STEM/Space collaboration projects:

-      SEE Modeling & Simulation.

-      Science Days – Science Festival promoting U.S. STEM and Space innovations

-      K Rover Lunar and Asteroid - Project aiming collaboration for development of concept of a joint research & development and advancement of our prototype Rover.

CRTN Solutions

ILLUMINATING AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE

At CRTN Solutions, we believe in the innate but often hidden capabilities of an organization. Especially in highly reliable and technical organizations, capabilities are too often masked by gaps or shortfalls in team coherence and understanding of the team’s strengths and weaknesses. CRTN Solutions’ approach is to engage in exploration of an organizations team behaviors and practices as they relate to the technology at hand and the objectives and operations of the organization.

GICSR

THE GLOBAL INSTITUTE FOR CYBERSECURITY + RESEARCH

The mission of SCS is to promote the use of modeling and simulation in ever expanding application areas through education and providing a forum where the scientific basis for its foundations can be enriched through education and research. Their vision is to be the premier society for the M&S community and the place where people who develop, teach, study and use M&S technologies get together to share ideas, build customer bases, network and together push forward the boundaries of the M&S enterprise.

MBDA

MATRA BAE DYNAMICS ALENIA

The mastery of cutting-edge technologies is not only an advantage for MBDA in successfully developing and producing new products. It is also a means of guaranteeing customers that innovations can be made to existing products during their life span in order to meet constantly changing specifications arising from increasingly complex engagement scenarios. It is precisely this combination which makes MBDA the defence sector partner of choice in many countries around the world.

LIOPHANT

Liophant is a non-profit association born in order to be a trait-d'union among simulation developers and users. Liophant is devoted to promote and diffuse simulation techniques and methodologies. FLORIDA SPACE INSTITUTE

The Florida Space Institute (FSI) supports space research, development, and education activities. In addition, we support the development of Florida’s space economy—civil, defense, and commercial.

Since 1996, FSI has been an institute of the State University System of Florida. FSI is made up of researchers, educators, and staff from member universities in Florida. FSI research ranges from studying the Earth’s upper atmosphere to the origin of the planets and from the workings of asteroids to propulsion technologies for high-Mach aerospace vehicles. We’re involved in space missions as diverse as high altitude rocket launches, next-gen suborbital flights, the NASA Cassini mission to Saturn, and NASA’s Explorer program. FSI administratively houses the Florida Space Grant Consortium (FSGC) for NASA, and we operate the Space Research Initiative (SRI) for the State of Florida.
